Armando Samuel O'Grady, 79, passed away on June 2, 2025, at Morristown Memorial Hospital.
Armando was Born on September 19, 1945 at All Saints Hospital in Morristown, NJ. He grew up in Boonton, NJ and spent the past 51 years residing in Hopatcong, NJ.
Arnie was a selfless man loved by all who knew him. His smile was contagious and he always made everyone around him laugh. His main goal in life was to be sure his family was taken care of.
Arnie dedicated 50 years as an electrician showcasing his expertise and commitment to his craft.
Arnie attended Jacksonville Chapel, where he also took his marriage vows 61 years ago to his loving wife Jacqueline. His faith was a vital aspect of his life.
Known for his love of the New York Yankees, Arnie also enjoyed music, bowling, boating, woodworking, biking, and spending time with his family. He cherished being outdoors, especially in places where he could soak up the sunshine.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Jacqueline J (Dannheimer) O'Grady, and his children, Vicki J O'Grady Longo (John), Wendy S. Mancilla (Aldo), and Amy L Paradise (Dale). He was a proud grandfather to Kelsea, Zakkariah, and Xander. Armando is also survived by his siblings, John, Louis, Joey, Mark, Patrick O'Grady, and Alice Zimmerman. He was preceded in death by his parents, John O'Grady and Yolanda Ruggerio, and siblings, Robert O'Grady, Rosemary Swistack, and Dennis O'Grady.
A private service will be held by the family to honor Armando's life. Donations may be made to Morristown Memorial Hospital Hospice and Palliative Care. www.F4mmc.org (dropdown: inpatient hospice and palliative care).
