Frances E. Ranton, 72, of West Milford, passed away on August 31, 2026. Born in Paterson, she was raised in Fair Lawn and lived there before moving to West Milford in 1985. A woman of faith, Frances was an Interfaith Minister earlier in her life, performing many weddings and baptisms, a calling in which she took great pride.

Beloved wife of Thomas Ranton. Devoted mother of Michael Ranton and his wife Nikki Williams, and the late Steven Ranton. Loving grandmother of Jessica Dolan and Emily Dolan. Cherished great grandmother of Reyna and Lukas. Dear sister of Charles Smigen, Jr. and his wife Linda, and sister in law of Amy Bremer and James Ranton and his wife Barbara.
