Janice Tomanek, 64, of Paterson-Garret Mountain passed away peacefully, comforted by family and friends on January 2nd, 2019 after a long and valiant fight against lung cancer. She is survived by her sister Barbara Hornby (Dustin) & brothers Tom Tomanek & Alan Tomanek (Susan), and many nieces & nephews, neighbors & friends.

She was truly loved by all.

Janice loved Lake Erskine. It provided her countless hours of rowing, canoeing, sailing, swimming, walking, daydreaming and skating during her lifetime; she visited often up to her passing. She was passionate for music, dance, & animals, & devoted to church & friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at the Community Presbyterian Church, 145 Carletondale Road, Ringwood, New Jersey, on Saturday, May 18th, 2019 at 11:30 A.M. followed by food & beverages. There will be an interment at Midvale Cemetery, 380 Ringwood Avenue, Wanaque N.J. at 2:00 P.M.There will be a private family gathering at Lake Erskine later in the afternoon & a private family dinner at one of Janice's favorite restaurants Saturday evening.
