In Loving Memory of Louis Bertinato 

1929–2026

Louis Bertinato, who lived a remarkable 97 years, was born in 1929 in a house in Fairview, New Jersey. His life spanned nearly a century, filled with hard work, laughter, family, and countless memories. 

Louis met his future wife, Gloria Moore, while they were both students at Cliffside Park High School. They married and began building a life together, sharing many years of love and family. Gloria preceded him in death six years ago. 

Throughout his early working years, Louis held several jobs, including waiter, tile setter, and embroidery worker. In 1960, with determination and an entrepreneurial spirit, he established his own building company, which he operated for many years. 

Louis was the proud father of his son, Lew; his daughters, Gail & (husband Bob), Lois & (husband Keith). He was also the beloved grandfather of Kerry & husband Ken. Louis is survived by his brother, Frank & sister-in-law Evelyn. Predeceased by his brother Lino & sister Mary. 

Louis leaves behind a legacy of family, laughter, generosity, and a life lived with spirit and determination. Though he will be deeply missed, the memories of his humor, kindness, and the many years he shared with those he loved will remain in their hearts forever. 

In accordance with Louis’s wishes, there will be no funeral or memorial service. His family will remember and honor him privately, with love and gratitude for the life he lived.
