Twyla Evans, 83, of Hawthorne, passed away on February 11, 2021. Born in Asheville, NC, she has been a resident of Hawthorne for over 50 years. A Proud US Navy Veteran, she was a 1982 graduate of Passaic County Community College, Twyla was a Systems Programmer at the Passaic County Courthouse, where she worked for 20 years before retiring. A longtime member of St. Clements Church, Hawthorne, Twyla served as ahonorable lifetimemember of the Hawthorne Volunteer Ambulance Corps for many years. A member of the Saddle River Chapter of the DAR, Twyla loved to read books, knit and watch Jeopardy.

Beloved wife of the late Frank Evans, Jr.. Devoted mother of Charlie Evans and his wife Sandra of West Creek, Joanne Soluri of Hawthorne, the late Michael Evans who passed away in 2019, and his wife Laura. Loving grandmother of Brianna and Taylor Evans of Hawthorne, Carlie Evans, and Jessica Huch and her husband Chris, all of West Creek. Dear sister of the late Nancy Garland. Cherished aunt of Twyla Lytle and her son Mike of Liberty Hill, TX.

Funeral arrangements were private under the direction of Compassionate Cremation Services, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. A memorial service to be held atSt. Clement's Church, Hawthorne, at a later date.
